This request from Muscatine Community Schools is for the use of city property for a road race/walk on May 3, 2014 from 8 to 11 a.m. Proceeds from the event are for the Muscatine Schools Foundation.

Request from Duffy DeFrance for Use of City Property for a Book House Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
This request from Duffy DeFrance is for the use of city property for a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Book House. The event will take place at 2208 New Hampshire Street on May 22, 2014 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The ribbon cutting is to launch the first free little library in Muscatine. The date is May 23, 2014.

Request from Guadalajara Restaurant for On-Street Dining
This request from the Guadalajara Restaurant is for the placement of an outside dining platform in front of 208 E. 2nd Street. In March 2014 the restaurant received approval for the placement of four tables on the sidewalk in front of their business. They are now amending their request to include the placement of a 40’ x 13’ dining platform on the 35’ x 11’ loading zone, the first 3’ of the sidewalk, and a portion of the bump out.

Request from Geneva Golf & Country Club to Dispense Fireworks
This request from Geneva Golf & Country Club is for permission to dispense fireworks in conjunction with the Club’s Annual Family Day on August 9, 2014. As in the past, J&M Displays will be handling the event. As part of this request, the public will be notified five days prior to the event.
