Every year the Collections and Drainage Division of the Department of Public Works identifies sewers in need of repair. The sewers that are deemed structurally sound, yet may have leakage or root issues, can have their life extended significantly by using a cured-in-place liner. By using cured-in-place liner the City avoids sewer replacement and roadway reconstruction costs. Contracts to repair identified sections will be awarded in the spring of each year through the bidding process.
The identified portions of sewer repaired during the 2025 project included:
- 900 block of Weir Street
- 2000 block of Fair Acres Drive
- 2900 block of Mulberry Avenue
- 900 block of Scott Street
- 400 block of West Fulliam Avenue
- 3300 block of Spinning Wheel Court
