[ARCHIVED] New Pool Membership option is introduced at Muscatine Aquatic Center

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce a new Pool Membership option for the 2025 season at the Muscatine Aquatic Center, following approval by the City Council during a special meeting held Tuesday.

This new membership replaces the traditional Family Season Pass and is designed to offer greater flexibility for patrons. Unlike the previous pass, which required users to qualify based on federal tax return dependents, the new Pool Membership removes the need to define “family” and allows members to include babysitters, grandparents, or others with ease.

The Pool Membership is available starting at $85 for one individual (adult or youth). Additional individuals can be added for $25 each, up to four additional members, for a maximum membership cost of $185—just slightly more than the previous Family Pass ($175), but with significantly more flexibility. Those needing more than five members have the option to purchase an additional pool membership, an individual season pass, or discounted Pool Ticket Book(s).

Season passes for individuals, pool ticket books, and the new Pool Memberships are available now at the Parks and Recreation office, located in Muscatine City Hall, 215 Sycamore Street.

Please note: Children 11 and under must be accompanied by someone 16 or older, regardless of pass type.

For pool admission rates, swim lesson schedules, and more, refer to the 2025 Summer Activity brochure. The Muscatine Aquatic Center, located in Weed Park, is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on operational days, weather permitting.
