MUSCATINEIowa – Are you a hiring manager with job openings you need to fill? Are you looking to tap into a new pool of candidates? Discover how the Crossroads Supported Employment Program connects people with disabilities to local organizations looking for dedicated employees.

Crossroads is excited to host Recruitment Redesign, an event to help local businesses learn about the benefits of employing individuals with disabilities. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at Crossroads, 1424 Houser Street, Muscatine, Iowa.

“We all have open positions we need to fill. It is time to rethink how we are recruiting candidates for those openings,” Megan Francis, Crossroads’ Chief Experience Officer, said. “This event gives hiring managers a chance to learn more about our Supported Employment program, network with other employers, and potentially meet their next great hire.”

The event agenda is as follows:

  • 11:30 – 11:50 a.m.: Welcome & Introduction to Supported Employment
  • Learn about Crossroads' Supported Employment program, which helps individuals with disabilities find meaningful work and provides ongoing support to ensure their success in the workplace. Hear firsthand how your company can benefit from this untapped pool of candidates.
  • 11:50 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.: Question and Answer
  • Get your questions answered by employers and supported employment specialists.
  • 12:20 – 1:00 p.m.: Meet Your New Employee

With resumes in hand, job seekers will be eager to introduce themselves and discuss your available positions. This is your opportunity to connect directly with individuals looking to join the workforce and make a difference within your organization.

The event is free and open to all business leaders and hiring managers. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Abby Webb at awebb@crossroadsmuscatine.org or call 563-263-3545.

Together, we can create more opportunities for people with disabilities and strengthen our local businesses in the process.
