MUSCATINE, Iowa – A new City Council will be seated Thursday with Matt Conard joining the 2024-2025 City Council as an at-large representative and Don Lampe as the First Ward representative. The two were elected to the Council during the November 2023 Election and will join re-elected members Mayor Brad Bark, Third Ward Representative Peggy Gordon, and Fifth Ward Representative John Jindrich.
At-large member Angie Lewis, Second Ward Representative Jeff Osborne, and Fourth Ward Representative Nadine Brockert return to the Council as they begin the final two-years of their current four-year term of office.
A public hearing on and a resolution adopting the City of Muscatine Wayfinding Master Plan is on a very short Muscatine City Council agenda for Thursday (Jan. 4). The City contracted with Corbin Design in January 2023 to create a wayfinding master plan. That plan has been completed and is being presented to Council for approval. Implementation will be spread out over the next several years as funds become available.
The Council will also host a discussion on possible changes to the City’s Ordinance regarding UTV’s.
The Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. and the public is welcomed, and encouraged, to attend the session in person.
Several options are available for those who cannot attend in person but would like to watch the proceedings. The City Council meeting will be broadcast live on the City of Muscatine YouTube channel and on Civic-TV (Muscatine Power & Water Cable Channel 2).
