MUSCATINE, Iowa – Illuminate, a nightly drive-through event at Weed Park, begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and continues through 8:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The festive light show event is sponsored by Crossroads, Inc., and Senior Resources, and will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. daily Nov. 23-Dec. 31.
Weed Park will be closed to all traffic from 5-9 p.m. daily except for vehicles driving through the park to view the over 40 displays. Those participating are asked to enter Weed Park off of Colorado Street to ensure an orderly line up.
Please note:
- There is a $10 per car suggested donation. The funds will be used to support services for seniors and people with disabilities.
- Respect the neighborhood and do not block driveways.
- For the safety of all event goers, this event is drive-through only. There is no stopping or exiting vehicles or walking in the park during the event hours.
- Volunteers will be present to assist in collecting donations and guide traffic. Please pay attention to signage, drive slowly inside the park, and pay attention to traffic.
