MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Parks and Recreation Department is trimming trees throughout the City of Muscatine Parks system and will have some logs available that are suitable for firewood. A system has been developed so that citizens who reside within the Muscatine city limits will be allowed to pick up the wood on a first come first serve basis.
However, in order to be eligible to pick up the wood residents will need to place their name on a call list that is being populated by the Park Maintenance Division. To place your name on the call list please contact the Parks and Recreation Department's Park Maintenance Office at 563-263-5464. If you are unable to reach someone, please leave a message stating your name, address, and phone number. Once it is your turn, and wood is available, you will receive a phone call letting you know when and where you may pick up the wood.
