MUSCATINE, Iowa – Dick Drake Way will be closed to through traffic from Highway 61 to Stewart Road starting June 2. West Continent Energy Services, LLC, a subcontractor for Kinder Morgan, is working on upgrading some gas line infrastructure.
To safely excavate to the pipe that runs under Dick Drake Way, West Continent Energy Services, LLC, needs to close Dick Drake Way to through traffic from Highway 61 to Stewart Road. A full closer of Dick Drake Way will be from the Canadian Pacific Rail Road crossing to the entrance to Union Tank Car Company.
The closure is estimated to last 10 days with the road tentatively scheduled to be reopened to traffic at the end of the work day on June 12.
The detour will be to use Grandview Avenue to Oregon Street to Stewart Road.
