MUSCATINE, Iowa – More than 560 acres of land is maintained by the City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department with 23 venues available throughout the park system for Muscatine residents to host events. These, and other public property areas that are available, can be requested through the Special Event process.
The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department collects and processes nearly 200 requests annually for events to be held on public property. Any patron wishing to host an event or activity on public property may contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 for assistance, additional information on the special event process, and venue availability.
The annual Special Event Listing is available on the City of Muscatine website for public view. Each public property event that is requested — including youth and adult tournaments for baseball, softball and soccer — are added to the listing. Individuals, organizations and businesses may sign up for text or email notifications each time the listing is updated by registering for the Notify Me service.
