MUSCATINE Iowa – A force main sewer leak was detected over the weekend and forced the closer of one lane of Houser Street near Dawson Street. Crews from the Department of Public Works (DPW) were on site Monday (June 11) morning to determine the extent of repairs needed and to begin repairs.
Work is expected to last at least through Friday depending on the extent of repairs needed. Traffic control devices have been established and drivers are urged to “alternate” driving around the lane closure or find an alternate route of travel.
Drivers are also reminded that in driving through any construction area please slow down, be alert, and pay attention to signs.
