MUSCATINE, Iowa – Get ready for some sweet fun on the riverfront! The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department invites families to join the annual Candy Cane Hunt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, in Riverside Park near Pearl City Station.
Children will search for candy canes hidden throughout the park and can trade in each candy cane they find for a special prize. Two hunt areas will be set up in the green space near the basketball courts—one for pre-kindergarten through first grade, and another for second through fourth grade participants.
Since the hunt takes place after dark, children are encouraged to bring a flashlight (or borrow one from the Parks and Recreation team) to help find the hidden treats.
