MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission is updating the State Transportation Plan, and Muscatine residents have the chance to help shape the future of travel in our community and across the state.
The plan guides how Iowa invests in all types of transportation — including highways, public transit, aviation, rail, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and even water transportation along our rivers.
To gather input, the Iowa DOT has launched a brief online survey that takes about 5–10 minutes to complete. Your feedback on the current system and ideas for improvements will help set the plan’s priorities and strategies for years to come.
The survey is available now at iowadot.gov/FutureTravel and will remain open through August 31, 2025.
Muscatine’s voice matters — from ensuring safe roads and sidewalks, to improving bus routes, to enhancing Mississippi River transportation. Whether you travel by car, bike, boat, bus, or plane, your perspective can help shape a system that works for everyone.
