[ARCHIVED] Parking in Riverside Park restricted for JDRF Car Show on June 1

Parking Restrictions In Riverside Park 001

MUSCATINE, Iowa — Start your engines and support a great cause! The 17th Annual Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Car Show, benefiting the Muscatine Diabetes Project (MDP), rolls into Riverside Park on Sunday, June 1, 2025. This community-favorite event combines stunning vehicles, family fun, and a shared mission to fight diabetes through local education, support, and outreach.

To accommodate the event, the City of Muscatine will close Riverside Park to vehicular traffic from the Iowa Avenue entrance downriver to the parking lot near the basketball courts, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on event day. Attendees can access the park at Iowa Avenue, with available parking upriver or along Mississippi Drive.

Hosted in partnership with the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the show invites car lovers of all ages to admire a wide range of vehicles — from timeless classics and sleek hot rods to high-powered muscle cars and custom creations. The event will also feature food vendors, live music, raffle prizes, children's activities, and awards across multiple vehicle categories.

Show off your cars against the panoramic backdrop of the Mississippi River or just wander the rows of automotive eye-candy while listening to the high-energy DJ play the tunes that recall days of cruising as a youth. This is the event you have been waiting for.
