[ARCHIVED] GMCCI opens registration for Second MWLN Summit

Second Annual Women's Leadership Network Promo (JPG) for 2025

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Following the success of its inaugural event, the Muscatine Women’s Leadership Network (MWLN) is excited to announce its second annual all-day Summit, set for Thursday, June 5, at Bridgestone Bandag.

“We were blown away by the turnout and energy at last year’s Summit, and we’re thrilled to partner again with Bridgestone Bandag to host this growing movement of incredible women,” Lindsay Trumbull, Director of Membership at the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GMCCI), said. “Empowerment, connection, and inspiration are at the heart of our mission. Fellowship and support are vital to the health of our workforce, and we’re proud to introduce another outstanding lineup of speakers, panelists, vendors, and community partners to motivate and uplift this year’s attendees.”

This year’s featured speakers include Jean Reynolds (retired, HNI Corporation), Jennifer Fridley (Muscatine Community Schools), and Brenda Meeker (Elevate Consulting).

The Summit’s Guiding Leaders panel will feature:

  • Jennifer Wade (Bridgestone Bandag)
  • Alyshea Gow (Feather Your Nest Interiors)
  • Whitney Pena (Muscatine Police Department)
  • Laura Custis (Ruhl & Ruhl)

New for 2025, the Summit will introduce a Growing Leaders panel, highlighting emerging local talent:

  • Ashley Richenberger (Pearl City Chiropractic)
  • Kenda Kistenmacher (Kenda Kist Jewelry)
  • Hilary Henke (United Way)
  • Johnnie Arnett (Kent Corporation)

Returning as host is Heidi Fields (My Resource Library and GMCCI’s 2024 Volunteer of the Year). Opening remarks will be delivered at 9:00 a.m. by Muscatine’s “First Lady,” Candice Bark of Stanley Consultants.

"SecondAttendees can also look forward to an expanded vendor fair featuring a wide range of local artisans, curators, refreshments, and services.

This year’s Summit is made possible thanks to the generous support of Kent Corporation, Phelps Uniform Specialists, HNI Corporation, ServPro of the Quad Cities & Burlington, CBI Bank & Trust, NextGen Motors of Muscatine, Affordable Metals Manufacturing, AFC Industries, and Hy-Vee.
