MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine City Council has just two action items on the agenda for Thursday (Jan., 2, 2025) in what could be the quickest Council meeting in a long time. This is the first meeting of the 2025 calendar year with an in-depth session on January 9 and the second regular meeting on January 16.
The Council will then prepare for the Budget sessions that will begin on January 30 with a Special Council meeting as Finance Director Nancy Lueck provides an overview of the budget process.
The public is welcomed, and encouraged, to attend when the Council meets at 6 p.m. Thursday in the City Council Chambers on the second flood of Muscatine City Hall. The meeting is open to all individuals regardless of language spoken or disability. The City Council will vote on a resolution to accept the complete work for the Sunset Park Underpinning Project. The Council will also be asked to approve the issuance of a purchase order to Tennis Surfaces of Iowa to repair the surface of the Pickleball courts at Taylor Park.
