MUSCATINE, Iowa – Wallace Street will be closed to traffic from Oregon to Wisconsin starting Monday, Oct. 28, for sewer and water abandonments in front of 1815 Wallace and 1903 Wallace. Kim Poor with Hometown Mechanical will be completing the work with the street reopened to traffic on Friday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.
Detour will be to use Sampson Street from Oregon to Wisconsin, and Wisconsin over to Wallace. Drivers are urged to pay attention to traffic control devices, slow down, and watch for construction workers in the work area.
