[ARCHIVED] Several juveniles charged following investigation of vandalism

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Several juveniles have been charged with criminal mischief following an investigation into a series of vandalism incidents that occurred at various locations in Muscatine in July.

During the late evening hours and early morning hours of July, 28, July 29, and July 30, multiple juveniles vandalized at least four locations in Muscatine according to the Muscatine Police Department investigation. Rocks were thrown through windows at the YMCA (1823 Logan Street), ProSkin Aesthetics and Wellness (171 Colorado Street), a vehicle parked in the alley in the 1000 block of Hershey Avenue, and a window at 1210 Hershey Avenue. The total damage was over $36,000.

Three juveniles have been charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree in reference to the damage at the YMCA. Two juveniles have been charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree in reference to the damage at ProSkin Aesthetics (one arrest pending). 

One juvenile has been charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree in reference to the damage to the apartment window. Two juveniles have been charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree in reference to the damage to the vehicle (one arrest pending).
