MUSCATINE, Iowa – Muscatine City Hall and the Muscatine Art Center will be closing at 2 p.m. today (Jan. 9) due to the weather while the Transfer Station will close at 3 p.m. according to officials with the City of Muscatine. The Musser Public Library was closed all day Tuesday. City offices will reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, weather permitting.
Public Works will close to walk-in customers but staff will stay to answer calls regarding snow removal, etc. Bus service will continue on emergency routes on a normal schedule, ending at 5 p.m., and the JARC (Job Access and Remote Commute) route will be cancelled for tonight due to the unsafe conditions.
