Popsicles with Police is a community outreach program that allows police officers to interact with children and residents by giving away free popsicles. The goal of Popsicle with Police is to help children and adults build trust and confidence in the police so they feel comfortable calling for help or reporting crimes in the future. Members of the Muscatine Police Department enjoyed spending time at various apartment complexes throughout the city handing out popsicles on summer days. During these events our friends at Muscatine Power and Water opened up fire hydrants for kids and officers to run through and play in the water.
