S-231-16 – County Park Subdivision – 1 Lot – 5.24 Acres – Muscatine County
Muscatine County has submitted a combined Preliminary/Final Plat for a 5.24 acre, one-lot subdivision at 3500 Harmony Court. As part of ongoing long term planning discussions, the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors recently took action to dispose of some County-owned real estate and buildings. The Board has recently accepted a purchase offer from a local developer for the building and approximately 5.24 acres of land located at 3500 Harmony Court in the City of Muscatine. The proposed one-lot County Park Subdivision is necessary to facilitate this sale.

Amend Chapters Four and Five of Title 10 of the City Code, Floodplain Management Regulations to Incorporate new FIRM maps
City Planner Andrew Fangman will present information about amending the City of Muscatine’s current floodplain management regulations found in Chapters 4 and 5 of Title 10 of the City Code of Muscatine. FEMA has issued new Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the area protected by the Island Levee. These maps must be officially made part of the City of Muscatine Floodplain Regulations in order for Muscatine residents and businesses to eligible to continue to purchase flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program.
