Subdivision
Avalon Subdivision - Steve and Cynthia Allchin - 3 lots - 1.55 Acres - Northeast of the northeast corner of the Hershey Avenue/Fletcher Street intersection.
Steve and Cynthia Allchin have submitted a combine preliminary/final plat for a 3 lot subdivision, located at northeast of the northeast corner of the Hershey Avenue/Fletcher Street intersection. The intent of this subdivision is to allow for the construction of single 4 unit apartment building. The proposed Lot 1 contains an existing 4 unit apartment building. The intent of the applicant is to construct a new 4 unit apartment building on the proposed Lot 2, with access being off of Hershey Avenue. The applicant is proposing that Outlot A remain in its current wooded state.
New Zoning Ordinance
Proposed Sign Regulations
The process to rewrite Muscatine’s 40-year-old zoning ordinance and implement the vision contained within the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan has begun. A presentation the proposed sign regulations will be made by City Planner, Andrew Fangman. Commission discussion and possible action will follow.
Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan
Review of the draft Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan. The Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan is a dynamic map based plan. It depicts all existing bike and pedestrian infrastructure, the infrastructure that will need to be built in order to achieve the community’s vision, and which projects should be constructed next using available resources to provide the largest benefit to the community. The Plan will work in concert with other City of Muscatine plans and polices including; The City of Muscatine Comprehensive Plan, the Complete Streets Policy, the Sidewalk Policy, and the Capital Improvement Plan.
