Mission Statement.

Minutes: February 11, 2014

Subdivision
Lifetime Subdivision – Primus Dental Design and Construction – 3 lots – 4.84 Acres – East of the Houser Street/Cedar Plaza Drive intersection, currently the Knights of Columbus Lodge.
A preliminary/final plat for a 3 lot subdivision, located east of the Houser Street/Cedar Plaza Drive intersection. The intent of this subdivision is to allow for the immediate construction of a dental office on the proposed Lot 1, with the proposed Lot 2 being reserved for future residential development. Currently the site of the proposed subdivision is the site of the Knights of Columbus Lodge on a 4.76 acre parcel. The applicant intends to remove all existing structures on the parcel.


New Zoning Ordinance
Review of the portion of the new zoning ordinance that deals with off-street parking.
The process to rewrite Muscatine’s 40 year old zoning ordinance and implement the vision contained within the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan has begun. The first part of the new zoning ordinance the Commission is being asked to make a recommendation on is that dealing with off-street parking. A presentation the prosed off-street parking regulations will be made by City Planner, Andrew Fangman. Commission discussion and possible action will follow.

Distribution of additional draft chapters of the new zoning ordinance for review and discussion at future meetings of the Commission.
