[ARCHIVED] Football Skills Clinics Now Registering

The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting Football Skills Clinics for all interested boys and girls in Kindergarten through 4th Grade.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of flag football through fun instructional drills and informal scrimmages. All classes meet at Kent-Stein Park on Diamond #3. Parks and Recreation Department staff will lead this instructional program for four weeks.

Kindergarten Football Skills will be held on Mondays, September 10, 17, 24 and October 1. 1st and 2nd Grade Football Skills will be held on Wednesdays, September 12, 19, 26 and October 3. Participants can sign up for 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm or 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm clinics. The fee for the clinic is $20.00 for residents, $25.00 non-residents. All participants will receive a T-Shirt.

3rd and 4th Grade Football skills will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 11 through October 4. The class will meet from 6:00-7:00 pm. The fee for 3rd and 4th grade football skills is $30.00 for residents and $35.00 for non-residents. The fee includes a T-shirt and mouthpiece for each participant.

The registration deadline is Friday, September 7th at 5:00 pm. You may register at the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department in the lower level of City Hall, 215 Sycamore, by phone with credit card, or online at http://activenet6.active.com/muscatine/
