MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine City Council In-Depth session for Thursday, Oct. 10, will include a presentation on the Papoose Creek Lift Station and downtown basement flooding issues.

Water and Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) Director Jon Koch will provide a presentation on the Papoose Creek Lift Station including a recent inspection of the facility, and on the issues surrounding basement flooding in the downtown area.

The City of Muscatine has invited all property owners who have or may potentially be affected by the flooding issue to attend Thursday’s session and have any of their questions answered.

As always, the public is welcome, and encouraged, to attend all City Council meetings. The meetings are held the first three Thursday’s of each month starting at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second flood of Muscatine City Hall. The first and third Thursday’s are regular Council meetings while the second Thursday is reserved for in-depth discussion of items concerning the city.
