Tier I Mini-Grants

Phase I grants provide up to $1,000 for small projects and community events. Phase I grants do not require a match. Applications for Tier I grants will be accepted September 1, 2022, through October 31, 2022; however, grants are awarded on a first come-first served basis. Projects should be completed within 90 days of award.

Examples of Projects Tier I Mini-Grants may fund:

  • Neighborhood cleanups
  • Community gardens
  • Community spaces (benches, gardens, etc.)
  • Neighborhood events (e.g. picnics, outdoor movie night, ice cream social)
  • Neighborhood tool library or food pantry (would need a plan for continued operation)
  • Other innovative ideas to bring neighborhoods together.

Projects not eligible for Tier I grants: fundraising and profit-motivated events, political or religious events.

Service organizations, formal and informal neighborhood groups, nonprofit groups, and for profit entities are eligible to apply for projects that promote community building.
