Mulberry Avenue and East 2nd Street Roundabout

PROJECT UPDATE: JULY 27, 2020

The $2.1 million Roundabout Project at the intersection of Mulberry Avenue and 2nd Street was completed by Heuer Construction, Inc., on July 27, 2020, when the roundabout was opened to traffic. The project completed one of the final pieces of the Mississippi Drive Corridor Reconstruction Project that began in 2017 with the reconstruction of Mississippi Drive from Broadway to Mulberry Avenue. The final part of that project was the removal of the power poles along Mississippi Drive by Muscatine Power and Water, which was completed in Fall 2020.

Actual work on the project began in January 2020 when the final two parcels of land needed for the roundabout were purchased by the City of Muscatine.
