Civil Service Commission has opening for city resident

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine has a unique opportunity for a resident to participate as a member of the Civil Service Commission. This commission is responsible for administering the Civil service system for the City of Muscatine, selecting testing procedures for the personnel system, and hearing appeals on employee discipline cases,


The commission meets, as needed, at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the lower level conference room at City Hall, 215 Sycamore, Muscatine. Members must be eligible electors and must not hold or be a candidate for any public office.


Persons interested in serving on the Civil Service Commission, or any of the City of Muscatine Boards and Commissions, can visit the Boards & Commissions page on the City web site to complete the application process.
