[ARCHIVED] Events added to May schedule at Muscatine Golf Course

MUSCATINE, Iowa –  A variety of events will take place in May at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course including a Friday Night Par 3 contest and a pair of two-person best shot events. These events additional play options for golfers.


A 2-Person Best Shot event is scheduled for Friday, May 15 with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. This event is open to adults of all ages with a cost of $20 for season pass holders and $40 for non-season pass holders.  The cost includes the prize fund and lunch.  Prizes will be paid out after the round is played and will be based on the number of participants in the event.  Registrations are now being taken in the Pro Shop.


The next Friday Night Par 3 Contest will be held on May 15. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the event scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tee-off. The format for this event will be a 1-person scramble. The fee is $5 for season pass holders and $23 for non-season pass holders, and that covers greens fee but carts are not included. Prizes will be paid out after the round is completed and will be based on the number of participants in the event. 


The season’s first Senior 2-Person Best Shot event will be held on Wednesday, May 20 with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.  This event is open to all golfers 50 years of age and older. The fee is $40 for season pass holders with the non-season pass holder fee $50. All fees include lunch, the prize fund, and a cart. Prizes will be paid out after the round is played and will be based on the number of participants in the event.
