Retired computer entrepreneur, Peter Norton (Norton Antivirus) is a contemporary art collector as well as an active participant in various civic and philanthropic activities. In 1988 the Norton Family began commissioning artist to create original, multiple edition works that are mailed as holiday greetings to his personal friends, colleagues and selected institutions. Created by artists represented in the Norton's own collection, these art objects were intended to foster engagement with the world of contemporary art. The Muscatine Art Center has been fortunate to receive these greetings on a yearly basis since 1993. This year the Muscatine Art Center has revisited holidays past so visitors may also experience the delightful, and often quirky, works of art gifted through the "Norton Family Christmas Project."
