Economic Assistance for Muscatine Small Businesses

The Economic Assistance for Muscatine Small Businesses program will provide up to $2,500 to assist small businesses within the City of Muscatine impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic.  Businesses must have been established and in operation prior to March 1, 2019.  Funds will be provided as a forgivable loan and can be used for normal business expenses, including: rent or mortgage, business insurance premiums, commercial real estate property taxes, utilities, personnel expenses and inventory.

Revolving Loan Fund Program

Streamlined Process for Approval of Outdoor Restaurant Seating License

A temporary waiver of three sections contained within Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 6: Outdoor Restaurant Seating License was granted by the Muscatine City Council on May 21, 2020. The waiver allows the current City Administrator or his/her designate to approve the application once the site plan has been approved by Community Development. The waiver expires on October 15, 2020, unless extended by City Council. Additional information regarding the application process is provided in this section.
